Battle of the Books

Battle of the Books is a club open to 4th and 5th grade students who love to read. Students read the 15 designated books for the school year, selected by North Carolina School Library Media Association. The district quiz-bowl format competition takes place in March.

Girls on the Run

The 3rd-5th grade program, Girls on the Run, encourages girls of all abilities to recognize their individual strengths and celebrate connections with others. Our tested curriculum blends physical activity with skill development that enables girls to adapt to whatever comes their way. In today’s unpredictable world, the strategies learned at Girls on Run are more important than ever.

Math Expo

Math Expo asks students to think creatively about the field of mathematics and how it is used to solve problems. Students will complete an investigation of a specific problem and use math to help them solve the problem. Students display their project and explain their thinking to a small group of judges.

Beta Club

The Beta Club is the largest independent educational youth organization in America. The purpose of Beta is "to promote the ideals of academic achievement, leadership, and service among elementary and secondary school students." At Cloverleaf, students were selected for induction to the National Beta Club by demonstrating academic achievement through Honor Roll and state testing as well as having good character.
